About Us

Our Story

Cairo NYC was founded by a US-born Egyptian-American who grew up moving fluently between two cultures, and noticed that the clothing available never did the same.

Egyptian-inspired apparel on the market tended toward the touristy: clip-art pyramids, camels, novelty hieroglyphs - designed for visitors, not for the millions of us who live this identity every day. Cairo NYC was built to close that gap: apparel that treats Egyptian and Arab heritage as a living culture, not a souvenir.

Our Mission

We design for the bicultural experience, for anyone who carries more than one identity at once and refuses to leave part of it at the door. Every piece we make starts with the language and the culture itself, not a stereotype of it. Real Arabic script. Real meaning. Design that stands on its own, culture that's never an afterthought.

Our Approach

Thoughtful design. Every graphic is created with intention, rooted in real Arabic phrases, real cultural references, and a modern design sensibility that holds up as streetwear first.

Made to order. We produce on demand, which means less waste, no overstock sitting in a warehouse, and the freedom to keep releasing new designs rather than repeating the same handful of symbols season after season.

Built for community. Cairo NYC exists for a specific audience, the Arab and Egyptian diaspora, and anyone who connects with that story, and we intend to keep listening to that community as the brand grows.

Looking Ahead

We're just getting started. Every new drop is a chance to represent another piece of this culture with the care it deserves. Thank you for being part of it.
